“The wolf thought to himself: ‘What a tender young creature! What a nice plump mouthful--she will be better to eat than the old woman. I must act craftily, so as to catch both.’ So he walked for a short time by the side of Little Red-Cap, and then he said: ‘See, Little Red-Cap, how pretty the flowers are about here--why do you not look round? I believe, too, that you do not hear how sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk gravely along as if you were going to school, while everything else out here in the wood is merry.’” -- The Brothers Grimm

Good Boy, Bad Day

To: The Parents of Peter
From: The Preschool Teacher
Re: Peter Has Not Been Making Good Choices Today

8:30 am

"During carpet time, Peter was screaming and running around the carpet and I asked him to please get on his letter several times and he continued making noises and being disruptive."

10:20 am

"We were walking in from outside and Peter's nose started running. I told him to come get a tissue, but he began blowing his snot on the ground toward other children's feet. He was asked to stop several times but said he wanted to make them step in it."

12:15 pm

"While sitting at lunch, I looked over and Peter was sitting in the chair with his pants and underwear pulled down. I asked him to fix it and he did. A few minutes later, we were lining up to go to the bathroom. He kept jumping and trying to distract the other children despite requests to stop. I held his hand until he could walk calmly. When we returned to the room, he began sticking out his tongue to a child. I asked him to stop and he stuck his tongue out at me."
